The Dashboard is the only place in Confluence from where you can access all existing spaces on the site.
An existing space or page can include Child pages. Hierarchy Tree is present at the bottom of the page.You can view a Hierarchy Tree from Tools (upper right-hand corner) > View in Hierarchy

You can go to the Dashboard from any page on your site by clicking on the logo beside the page title or via the Breadscrumbs (the "You are here" path) located at the top of every page.

Log In can be found from the upper right-hand corner of the Front page. Login and Passeord are given by Wiki adminPassword are your LAMK AD and password.
Log Out can also be found from the upper right-hand corner.

Profile

You can modify your own Profile by clicking your name and > Preferences on the upper right-hand corner of the page. There you can for example change your password.

Create a space and Edit pages

Wiki admin only can create a Space. Normally user has acces to A normal user can modify pages and add new pages.
Wiki ideology is that every user also has acces access to modify other all spaces and pages. Some pages or spaces can be protected and editing is not allowed.

Move to your target page and click Edit on the upper right-hand corner.

There are two views to Edit. Rich Text Edit and Wiki Markup.
Rich Text Edit is maybe more usefull to beginner and Wiki Markup is to advanced user.

 

Adding a Picture:

 

A picture has to be attached to the page before it can be added to the page.
A Picture You can also be link, if you are promissed to link it.
To set up the picture on to the page can be a little difficult sometimes. Use empty line on Wiki Markup view if necessary.

Viewing MS Office document or pdf on a page:

MS Office document can be an attachment of the page or it can be viewed on the page.

Confluence tries to encourage linking by making it as simple as possible. You can link to content anywhere within Confluence or an external site just as easily, using the same syntax.
Hint: Use "second" button with mouse and you are able to choose how the link is opened on a browser.

  • Confluence generates its own RSS feedsfor tracking updates to content within Confluence. You will need an RSS reader which can grab the RSS feeds from Confluence and display them for you.
